Principal’s Welcome

We Grow People

These three words are our guiding statement at Gardens. They shape our decisions and drive everything we do and do not do. Our goal is to create an environment that empowers all of our community members so they can contribute creatively by discovering and utilising their unique talents.

A culture of high care and challenge drives this ethos. Raha’s strength lies in our relationships. You will hear this a lot, mainly because it is true. When people hear the term relationships, they often think of emotional connection. For us, relationships are the actions that shape how we behave with each child in our care. Our job is to ensure all children thrive. So, at Raha, we understand:

  • Every child matters (and they sometimes do not always know it).
  • Our job is to find brilliance in each child.
  • We cherish, celebrate, and tell the stories of our children’s successes.
  • Our children should aspire to be leaders in whichever field they play.
We Grow People

  • Our measure of success is our children knowing they are successful.
  • The basics matter. We get them right every day. Children form positive relationships with adults when they trust they will do the right thing.
  • Each sentence above applies to adults, too.

To us, this is ‘relationships.’ So now, when you read or hear the term relationships at Raha, you know what we mean.

As a proud member of the Taaleem family of schools, we are not alone. The cornerstones of education at Taaleem are inspired and imaginative teaching; relationships centred around learners as individuals, academic success, and positively impacting our community and beyond. Being part of Taaleem provides our children and staff access, support, and collaboration with a network of like-minded educators, children, and families.

I look forward to welcoming you to our campus, and I am confident that you will love it as much as we do.
