Primary Years Programme (PYP)
The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) is an inquiry-based and concept-driven framework designed for students aged 3 to 12. At Raha International School, Gardens Campus, we are proud to offer PYP as the foundation of our educational journey.
The PYP focuses on nurturing the whole child, preparing them for success in their academic, personal, and social lives. Through its engaging and transdisciplinary approach, students will:
- Develop critical thinking and inquiry skills through exploration and discovery.
- Gain an understanding of their role as global citizens with intercultural awareness.
- Foster collaboration, creativity, and effective communication skills.
- Cultivate their unique passions and interests through authentic, real-world learning experiences.
The Primary Years Programme at Raha is built on a foundation of excellence, relationships, and aspiration, offering:
- Six Transdisciplinary Themes: Encouraging students to explore big ideas that connect subjects and provide context for their learning.
- Agency and Voice: Empowering students to take ownership of their learning and become active participants in their educational journey.
- A Holistic Approach: Focusing on academic growth, personal well-being, and social development to ensure well-rounded learners.
- International-mindedness: Promoting respect, understanding, and empathy through a curriculum that values diversity and inclusivity.
- Action and Reflection: Encouraging students to make connections and take meaningful action in response to their learning.
PYP is more than just a programme; it’s a transformative educational framework that inspires children to be curious, compassionate, and confident lifelong learners. It provides them with the tools to thrive in a complex and ever-changing world.
Let Raha Gardens Campus be the starting point for your child’s journey as an inquirer, thinker, and leader of tomorrow.
